Their favorite, memory-filled vacation spot. Meaghan and Sean put so much thought into this sweet, sentimental, Port Huron engagement session and I had so much fun photographing it!

Seeing my clients incorporate so much personality and symbolism into their photoshoots makes my heart happy. All too often I see couples try and copy ideas they see on Pinterest and social media. Yes, these “inspirational” reference photos can be so dreamy and romantic, but what is truly special and timeless is your own uniqueness and the love you have for your partner. Don’t be afraid to incorporate YOU into your session. For example, the diamond in Meaghan’s engagement ring belonged to Sean’s grandmother. His mother has held onto it for almost 30 years before it was given to Meaghan.

Not only did Meaghan and Sean incorporate such special jewelry pieces into this shoot, they also chose a location that is near and dear to their hearts. Sean grew up vacationing in Port Huron with his family, and now he loves to share it with Meaghan as one of their favorite vacation spots! Having been in the photography industry for almost ten years now, it’s rare that I get to shoot in a new location. I was so excited to scope out this new location! I can’t wait to come back to Port Huron for more engagement sessions!

Port Huron was so magical and has such a wide range of location potential. In just under an hour we created such a wide range of photo moods. Downtown? Check. Hamptons lighthouse vibes? Got it. Casual beach park? Yes! Matt and I might have to try it out for our next vacation!
