Dunkin’ Donuts + Pittsburg Steelers – Engagement Session

When Stephanie asked if it would be too weird to shoot her and Elias’ engagement photos in a Dunkin’ Donuts, I instantly knew we were going to be friends. My instinctual reaction was confirmed when I met them for the first time in person and we instantly clicked. (Get it? Clicked? We love a good photography pun around here.)
These two are the one of the most goofy, fun loving, adventurous couples I’ve ever shot. From Pittsburgh Steelers jerseys, ring detail shots on a donut, playing football, and getting all dolled up in fancy clothes, this entire session was a blast from start to finish. I smiled so much the entire time I was taking these photos. I hope that you smile just as much as I did when you look at them!

After our initial phone consultation, I sent Stephanie and Elias the new edition of my Engagement Style Guide. In this online magazine, I coach couples on what to wear, how to incorporate their interests (like football!) into the session, and how to treat themselves during this short season of the wedding planning process. Stephanie and Elias took these guidelines to heart. Their personalities shine through these photos and it was such a joy to collaborate with them.
The engagement period is often viewed like the least important part, because you’re so busy planning for that big day and the happily ever after. But I could not disagree with this sentiment more! You’re only engaged once. So please take this blog post as permission to really go all out and pamper yourself. Get your nails done, and schedule appointments to have your hair and makeup dine professionally for the engagement shoot. Don’t be afraid to buy a new outfit, and of course, eat all the donuts your heart desires!
